The Past Devours Peace

Twenty years after Evenhere was restored with color, it is a kingdom transformed. The Here, Silvarii, and Coloristas are living in harmony. Fable is living a life he never thought he would have. He has built a beautiful marriage with Jethran, and their twin sons, Arby and Tierro, have grown into better heremen than either of their fathers could have hoped. Even his sister Saga has found happiness as she leads her people into a united kingdom and prepares for motherhood.

A primordial darkness unmakes a four-year-old Silvarii girl, and Prince Tierro is the only one who remembers her.

As the Tree of Hope begins to rot and entire villages of people are erased and forgotten by the world, Fable finds himself fighting to protect the life he spent twenty years building. He must hold on to his spouse, his sons, and the family they created while defending a kingdom that has finally learned peace. But as pieces of Fable’s own history begin returning with the threat, old griefs and unfinished relationships are given new meaning, forcing him to look again at the choices that brought him to the life he has now.

Jethran discovers that the threat facing Evenhere is older than creation itself. Even worse than evil or seeking the power of rule, the Foreshadow is indifferent to life and only seeks the balance of nullity.

When facing a force built from perfect nothing, the Kingdom of Evenhere learns that it may just cost them everything. No one learns this more than Fable.

Is Rebirth Enough?

When the Pixxels reveal to Arby and Tierro the truth of their histories, the past returns in a way that forces the princes to confront whether or not a person can truly become someone else after a dark past.

Saga must confront the decisions and choices of her past and her role in the lives of the young princes, while protecting the growing family that she has created.

As his brothers demand that Jethran give up everything and return to the Chorus of Creation, Jethran refuses to allow anyone to tell him what he can do with his life. His marriage to Fable takes on an entirely new form of intimacy when they expand Spectrasy in ways never before seen.

Echoes of Foreshadow brings The Shards of Color Trilogy to a close with a Lovecraftian horror fantasy that promises to defy its genre and your expectations by rewriting what it means to be the chosen one.

Who Is Fable Adazious Gazette?

Fable is the one who stays.

The character of Fable himself was based on a person who I know. His characteristics and mannerisms, his personality and his traditionalist mindset, and even portions of his backstory were all born from the pages of true life. Those foundational characteristics were then given to the entirety of his race.

He was created to be a travel companion. Fable was built as a point of conflict, a person who would challenge Jethran. But Fable became much, much more than I had ever intended.

While I intended for Jethran to remain single because he was modeled after myself, Fable took control of the narrative. He was always meant to be the one who loved Jethran. The first one who saw Jethran.

Fable is how I was able to give Jethran the love that I never received and that I deserved. Because it is the type of love that we all deserve.

Fable gave Jethran the space to be who he was and to live in the pain that he had while he went through the journey of discovering who he was and understanding himself, even as that understanding evolved over time and continues to do so.

Fable will absolutely challenge him in all of the ways that he needs to be challenged, but will also defend him all the way to the death and even to the gods of his world.

Because Fable has always understood something that the rest of his world seems to have missed. A life does not become less simply because someone else believes that they have made better plans for you.

No matter what, he chooses Jethran when he has nothing, and he chooses him when he has everything. And when there’s nothing left to choose but the goodness within, he just chooses him again.

Jethran is the journey and the destination.

Saga is the question and the answer.

Fable is the choice and the chosen.
